 Windows XP Home - Professional I have Windows XP Home Edition on my laptop, if i change to Windows XP Professional, will it just upgrade the operating system or will it overwrite everything and i'll lose all data on my computer?  |

| It should just upgrade the O/S but, to be safe, you should back up all your data files and have your application disks handy. Most upgrades should only perform an upgrade and nothing else but accidents have been known to happen, and it’s these accidents that you have to protect yourself against, i.e. there are no guarantees.
