I am in trouble -- Windows Installer/Office
 

I have installed Limewire on two different machines and it has hosed the Windows Installer and killed MS Office 2K on one machine and Office XP on another machine. Both machines were running Windows 2000 SP1. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I really don't want to rebuild either PC.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

How many different versions of java do you have on your machine? If you have more than one you might try deleting them and reinstalling only the latest java engine.

You could try the office repair tool.

Sorry, I can't give you a definite answer but those are two things you could try.
