Just a general question about the monitor window

Status shows complete but progress will say like 73%, 45% and so on. What does this mean? Shouldn't it say 100%?

Just curious, newbie trying to understand how all this works and what it all means.

The host might've downloaded the % that you see from you, & the rest of the file from somebody else;)
