no options

i cannot access options. whenever i clik on file/options, the options window flashes up and then dissapears. i have reinstalled the newest version and it keeps doing it is still not working. plz explain

Again I would suggest that you try a different AntiVirus program just in case you downloaded and activated a trojan or virus file by accident.
A lot of people here have had good success with an AV program called AVG.
It is free to use and well worth trying just in case your antivirus software has been compromised in some way.
