![]() This happens with LimeWire 4 as well. My "My Documents" does not reside on my C: drive (it's sitting on E:\My Documents). However, LimeWire insists on creating it's folder in C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\LimeWire For some reason it's hardwired in LimeWire to use the physical path: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents instead of %UserProfile%\My Documents This needs to be fixed. |

![]() Yeah I know. It's not the only program that does that.. I presume you are using LW 5. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...tml#post338387 where you need to change location for 'each' category. Unfortunately the actual Downloads location option does not work. I've already posted a bug report for this. O.o ![]() ![]() |

![]() LW 5 at the moment. However, this same issue also existed in LW 4. And while I can certainly use the Options ... to reconfigure where LW is saving it's files, by default it should honor %UserProfile%\My Documents instead of using the system drive's path. And I've only found options for the 'Saved' and 'Store Purchased' folders. How do I tell LW where to keep the 'Incomplete' folder as well? |

![]() Well, no matter what I did, LimeWire just will not save anywhere other than the hardwired path C:\Documents and Settings\[user profile]\My Documents\Limewire When I go in Options and click on the Downloads tab, it specifically says a completely different path all together. Limewire has yet to use that for anything it downloads. I've restarted it numerous times now. This is definitely a bug, definitely a problem. Running 5.0.11 - waiting for the next update. |

![]() oops no .. yes that is a bug with LW 5 beta, you can only set location for download via Categories. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...tml#post338387 which will solve your problem. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Lord of the Rings; March 2nd, 2009 at 07:15 AM. |
