Default Deleting Issues

I downloaded two of the same files, which means I only need one. When I tried to delete the unwanted file, an error message said that the file is being used by someone or program and thus can't be deleted. But I know for a fact that it is not being used anywhere else on my computer. Can someone help me please??

Make sure everything else is closed and then try to delete the files you don;t want to keep. If it refuses to be deleted it probably means that that file is part of a virus or trojan file and you will need to get some help from a computer technician.
That's after you have read as many olf the "StickY" threads at the beginning of these forums as you can.
Good luck!

Cymberil,

Welcome to the Gnutella forums!

mezcla206 probably found success as instructed. Remember to close Limewire, the program most likely to be "using" (i.e., sharing) the file. You can also use Windows Task Manager to see if anyting else is using it.
