What do you do when there is no icon on your desktop to start limewire?

Try removing LW and installing again.

Take care with the install instructions ;)

First go under the Limewire installed directory, you shall find another shortcut, otherwise you can create a new shortcut with the command:

C:\Programmi\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1\bin\javaw.exe -Xss64k -Xms4m -Xminf0.10 -Xmaxf0.25 -jar RunLime.jar

where C:\Programmi is the directory under which you have installed the java software (probably C:\Programs in your case).

Then in the path you add the path of your Limewire version (ex: C:\Programmi\LimeWire\2.2.1\) and you should have your shortcut...
