LW firewall problem?
 

My limewire has detected a firewall and will not download anything. It only works about once a week, but usually is unable to download. If there is anything I could try it would sure help.

Is your connection ok (all green/blue connection bars)?

If your connection is fine... what happens when you try to download - do files get stuck needing sources, or do they not even move into the download pane at all?

If files sit connecting for ages & then get stuck needing sources forever, you're probably seeing fake files.

If you're searching for video files, always chech the file with Bitzi before download. If a file has heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating, chances are it's a fake.
