![]() I'm running win xp and the latest LW and for some reason Lw keeps shutting down. No error messages or anything it just shuts down sometimes after a minute or an hour it's random. I've checked for viruses and all that and my systems clean. Any ideas? |

![]() Try these things: 1. Remove all your previous Java versions using the Add/Remove control panel. 2. Reinstall Java using ONLY the OFFLINE version listed here: Download Java software from Sun Microsystems 3. Delete your previous LW preferences folder if you had LW on your computer previously; Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Or if using VISTA, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html ___ (Remember to make a note of important settings such as download location, shared folders, speed settings, days to keep incompletes, etc.) 4. Install LW using this version: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe __ (the installer will remove any previous LW version at beginning of installation process) (b) Run this small utility to clean registry: Crap Cleaner |
