Limewire is "Not Responding"
 

More often than not, when I try to run Limewire, it will lock up. The cursor still moves when the mouse is moved, but nothing on Limewire can be clicked on, and the top bar shows: Limewire (Not Responding). This has gotten worse and worse with each new version. The last stable version I remember is 4.14. Can I still get and use that version?

Could be a number of things causing it:
Lack of sufficient ram for both system & LW, Fragmented drives, too many share files, too many incomplete files, a version of Java that doesn't suit your system since some versions work better on some people's systems than others, LW preferences that are partly corrupted, a messy uncleaned system registry, cpu that is a little out of date for today's needs, security software that is interfering, ... ;)

i am having the same problem i have tried everything nothing is working and when i go to my java control panel that freezes as well please help me !!
