Default Direct Connect Questions

so i've been trying to direct connect to my cousins PC through Limewire & its not working. i beleive its my Firewall or router doing it.

is there away around this problem of mine without turnning the firewalls off or disconnecting my router?


Router is a DLink
Firewall Is ZoneAlarm Security suite

Hey Jay, You may need to Forward a Port to allow access through the DLink. Can you give the Model # of the Router. Also make sure you are giving Full access to LW through ZA.

Try this. Make sure you set up a Static IP Address First. Instructions are in the Link Below.
Port Forwarding for the Dlink DI-604

Also make sure you don't have Windows Firewall enabled.

Hello,

Im also have the same problem.. Actually im using D-Link DSL-2540T and have done the port forwarding setting. But it not worked, why? Need more seting?

Anyone can help to solve my problem?

BTW: My window firewall is off.


P/S: Ok i'll suddenly solve it, just change the port no. to the different no.
