How do I get my Limewire back if my hard drive was wiped clean
 

I HAD Limewire Pro, in Feb. 2008 My hard drive had some type of fatal errors, my brother who works on computers restored the HD to factory but that wiped out my Limewire, and NO I never did a back up of it. Everyone says they have NO customer service phone #. What if anything can I do?

Did you buy Pro in Feb 2008, or had you bought it before then?

If you bought from the official site Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « are your Pro benefits still current? If you bought 6 months worth of Pro, it needs to be less than 6 months since you paid...the yearly Pro deal wasn't introduced too long ago, so if you have extended Pro then you should still be within the timeframe.

If you did buy from the official site & are still within your Pro timeframe, go to this page & try all email addresses that you might've used.

If you did buy from the official site but your Pro benefits have expired...you can't download a new Pro installer. If you didn't buy from the official site then your email address would never have been in the official database & you can't download a new Pro installer.

I bought Limewire Pro earlier in 2007, I am inserting the e-mail address I am 100% POSITIVE I used to order it, and it says no such e-mail in database is all hope lost now?

In 2007 there were 2 Pro options - Pro (6 months of free updates & support) and Extended Pro (12 months of free updates & support). Extended Pro wasn't introduced until August 2007.

So if you bought Pro before August, you can't download a new Pro installer for free. If you bought after August, you need to have bought Pro from the official site (payment appears on your credit card to LimeWireLLC): Lime Wire » Download LimeWire

If you bought plain old Pro, even from the official site, your email address won't be in the database any more.
If you bought Pro from a different (scam) site, your email address was never in the database.

The official site tells you that your Pro payment is a one time payment. What it doesn't tell you is that your one time payment entitles you to free updates only while your Pro benefits are current...that means if you bought 6 months worth of Pro, you can only download free updates for 6 months. Likewise for Extended Pro (12 months). And it's up to the user to save & back up Pro installers...if you lose your old version of Pro then you can't download a free older installer. Even if you paid the official site for it.

That's something that LW need to make clear to their customers. They've been asked to do it, but they haven't. They probably never will:wasntme:

I re-installed the basic Limewire. I downloaded 2 movies. I onl hear the sound I do not see the picture. All other videos on my computer work OK, now what?
