Phishing e-Mail or not
 

G'day. I have just received the following e-mail and although I am 99.99% sure it is a phishing e-mail, I just need some verification to put my mind to rest for the .01%. There are no logos and the spelling is atrocious.

This is NOT the limewire forums. These came from there. Log in there and ask.
Your Link has nothing to do with what your post indicates. Almost appears that you are Spamming which will get you Banned. :)

Firstly, I am no spammer. The inquiry is genuine. Since your reply I have attempted to get into the Limewire Forums by clicking on 'Help' and then on 'Forum'. I have found however that when I click on any one of the active links on the Forum page, no matter what section, I end up here!!!! Looks like I have to un-install and then re-install the programme. Again I reiterate that this was a genuine inquiry and that I am not a spammer!!!!!

Someone is spamming via pm at the LW.org forum. I received one too. You should report it to one of the mods over there.

Thanks for confirming what I strongly suspected. My problem now however is that I cannot access the Limewire Forums. I can access the Limewire Forums page, however no matter what section I click on I always end up at the Gnutella site. Am waiting for people to finish uploading from this site when I can close down Limewire, un-install it and then re-install, hoping I can get rid of this glitch. Thank you once again.

Seems they are aware of these bogus emails and are trying to rectify it.....
