No search results appearing, used to work...

My computer has two log-ins, one for the administrator side, one general. I always log on to the general side & have never had a problem searching on Limewire.

Recently when I go to search nothing comes up, regardless of what I search for. I thought LW needed to be updated, so, I went to the admin side, updated LW & tried again, nothing. I thought it was because of a firewall issue, so, I temporarily disabled the firewall, that didn't help either.

When I'm on the admin side I can search & see results, the only problem is that files created on that side aren't visible on the general side.

I don't know why searches would suddenly start coming up empty when they worked just a few weeks ago, no new programs have been installed.

Is it connecting properly though on the General side? Do you see a brick wall icon at bottom of LW?

On the General side, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Firewalls, and change listening port to something else such as 64049. Perhaps change connection port too. If your software firewall requires a port number then you may need to change that also.

Changed listening port...

I changed the listening port & am still unable to see search results. In the bottom corner I have one bar saying I'm connected to the network, however, there is a brickwall that says, "Limewire detects a firewall." I don't know what the firewall could be since I turned it off from the admin side which turns it off for everything (general & admin)

You need more than one connection bar to be fully connected.

I'd suggest going thru these options one by one: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html :)
