limewire loads up wont work though...

i just recently bought a new computer and i have them hooked up via thru my router. my new computer has evga nforce 780i 775 motherboard with dual 2.83 proc...and the graphics card is a evga nvidia 9800gx2 1gb. i dont know if that will help but now my old comp is a dumpy old dell form 2002. ive been running limewire with no issues from then till now. i downloaded limwire pro onto my new PC off the site and went to install it, now it told me i need to DL java which i did and installed it. limewire loads up for me i can read everything fine, but i cant click anything...the tip of the day is blank. now from what i can see with limewire for me i can get some functionality out of it my minimizing and maximizing it from the tray. i upated limewire on my old computer and it runs like a champ. ive read most of the stickys and the help forums. ive tried to DL java 1.4.2 and when i try to install it it comes up blank. now i have DL'D and reinstalled java and limewire over 10x and i seem to get the same results. now this might be related im not sure im just tryinf to present all the info i can to better help you form an answer. i use musicmatch and itunes and i run a prog called gforce from EDIT again it runs fine on my old comp but it wont function on my new comp. i cant even run itunes visualization program aswell. i hope i posted this problem in the right place dont beat it up if i havent...iven prolly have 12 hours of pulling my hair out on resovling this issue. now im not to computer savvy but i can find my way around. thanks

i cant do anything atm. i called the tech support about my computer issues. they had me delete my drivers and now i cant get a pic on my monitor at all. they had me remove ram and disconnect my graphics card and i still got no pic so they think something shorted out...they had me DL a bunch of codecs aswell since i found out i cant watch any of my older movies. i get sound but no picture lol. but as soon as i get my PC back lol maybe next year since it came from cali and i live in indy ill delete my preference folder and see it that resolves some issues...lol
