Having 2 Problems w/LWPro (email addy not recognised, need to save downloads)

I have had LWPro for about 2 years. I have not paid for an upgrade since I bought the first one. I have been trying to ask the tech support one question, and it seams that they have no record of any of my email addresses? Why is this? 2nd Problem is what I was going to ask LW. I am going to have to wipe my pc and reload everything due to a recent trojan that "killed" over half my programs including my media player. """How do I keep from losing my library on LW when I have to reload all programs???""" I can not back up any music from media player due to 'not having one anymore'. Someone please tell me how to fix this. I have over 3000 songs on LW and don't want to lose them. Someone please help.

Thanks

You have one problem here. See Rule 11.

Glad you read the rules & edited your post.

If you're having to "wipe" your pc, then I don't know how you're going to keep your songs. Do you have a second HD installed? Can you not install another burner?
You may be able to move your files to one of the many sites that offer free storage.

The first thing you have to do is find the folder that your music is in. It sounds like you don't know where it is. Well, it's probably in the Program Files under Limewire. Or, you can search for one of your songs with Windows Search Assistent, and look at where it's at. (If you don't know computers very well, you'll probably have to go into "My Computer" - "Local Disk" - "Program Files" - "Limewire" - "?" I don't know because I always have my music go to another hard drive.

After that, you'll have a couple options. You can burn them to DVD or CD if you have a burner, or find an old hard drive from an old computer somewhere, and install it or ask somebody to install it. I suggest just buying an 80 gig hard drive designated for music and other media. You could also put the songs on a zip drive, depending on the amount of space it has.

Note: If the virus is not letting you find the files, try going into safe mode (restart the computer, and press F8 when the Black Windows screen comes up)

Then, when you reload everything onto a freshly restored computer, make sure the music is in a distinguished folder somewhere, I suggest the desktop. Then after you reinstall Limewire, go under Tools - Options - Saving, and you can change the library folder from there. You may have to rescan the folder in Limewire.
