Limewre won't preview with VLC only WMP
 

I've set VLC as default player for all video files, but LimeWire will still only preview with WMP and WMP won't work with .avi files. Anybody able to help? Want to preview .avi files in VLC so I can check the movie quality!

If I remember correctly, VLC has trouble playing incompletes.

Try downloading and installing Combined Community Codec Pack

It should work fine. And MPC is about the best player you can get. On the setup screen just choose MPC to open AVI.. and other formats if you want.

Note: If you have any other video codec pack installed, then you will have to remove them first.
