Default limewire is removed after installed

first off I had limewire and it was working fine, downloaded a file that was corrupt and was removed by my anti virus. Then started getting pop ups for an anti virus site, finally got it removed, but now when I try to open limewire a warning comes up and says limewire detected and is harmful to computer and will now be removed.

does anyone know what I do to fix this?
I have also tried to install shareaza and it does the samething.

thanks ahead

p.s. I have even tried new download and turned off all my known anti virus stuff and still does that.

Sounds to me like you have a virus that has infected your LW program. Chances are the virus is spread around the system.

Which AV are you using?

Some spyware programs see p2p software as having spyware when they don't & thus remove them which is a possibility. Answer is to put LW on the safe list.

If you have a virus, then check the links inside the link I gave above. BTW not all AV's can remove ALL viruses.

I get the impression perhaps a virus has infected registry or startup items & is causing problems.
