See if anything here helps: DELETING FILES FROM LIMEWIRE LIBRARY-DON"T! - File recovery advice!

Are you unable to connect, or just unable to download files?

I see this happening more & more often. People see a LimeWire playlist in iTunes & think their files are in iTunes music library, but they are not. A playlist simply points the player to where to find the song files, in this case the LW download folder. To add songs properly to iTunes, see How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link}. Also, in iTunes you need to set preferences to 'Copy music Files to iTunes Music Folder when adding files', option under Advanced settings in iTunes Preferences. And check the suggestions how to 'properly' add songs to iTunes so they become a part of iTunes music library. :)

I'll post the two best example ways here:

You can select Saved Files folder in LW & press Explore button & the folder will open up for you. Then you can drag & drop songs from there to iTunes 'Library' icon above the playlists. Select multiple files at once by holding down the SHIFT key as you select them.
