Go to your Programs folder, find LimWire (LW) program folder & open it, right-click the LW program & choose 'Make Shortcut'.
You can choose to 'send' the shortcut to any location you desire.

BTW the normal way to stop LW starting up when booting the computer is to to LW's menu bar, Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> System startup & uncheck that option.

There are 'some' viruses that create startup links in the system folders such as startup items.

Another way to open LW is to go to Start menu -> All Programs -> LW

Default limewire not in programs menu but files still intact

is there a way to download just the shortcut? I've tried everything you suggested already.

Do you mean that LW's not in your Start > All Programs, or is it not in your Program Files?

If LW's still there when you go Start > All Programs, then highlight LimeWire > LimeWire Pro > right click > send to > desktop.

If LW's not within Start > All Programs then go My Computer > C drive > Program Files > LimeWire > find the icon called LimeWireLLC (~140 KB in size) > right click on that icon > send to > desktop.

If you have no LW within Program files then maybe LW has been accidentally deleted

Limewire program files still intact when I do search but no shortcut file. I looked in multiple places and the file is missing. I tried to redownload LW but I get redirected to buy the program again, don't want to do that. Is there a way that someone could copy the file for Pro and send it to me?

if this is truly the case, then either LOTR's or Birdy's advice is sound an accurate....I just, to make sure I haven't lost it completely, tried their instructions step by step and it worked just fine...

do you have an issue with following sound advice?

are you the type to go to the doctor and demand ******** (nasty stuff...I know...I'm taking it right now) for sniffles?

just what is up here?

again, follow their advice and create a new shortcut...sheesus...
