Bitrate & Duration incorrectly displayed

Many of my shared songs are displayed with grossly inaccurate Bitrates and Durations ... 320KB sampled songs are displayed as being 64KB, with durations about 5 times as long as they actually are. This started happening somewhere around LimeWire 4.18.0. Is there a fix in the works for this display error?

Not too many legitimate songs come in at a low 320KB to start with so it looks like you may have downloaded a virus or malware onto your computer. Best you check these files with your antivirus program and thenif you have to report back make sure you supply the information that was asked of you at the beginning of each post or when you first signed up to limewire.

I thought I had made it quite clear that these songs are truly at 320KB sampling rate ... and are the actual songs! (I verify the correctness of the song attributes as they are downloaded ... that they are actually the artist the file name (or comments) say they are, and the song it is supposed to be. There is a large percentage of files with incorrect information ... dozens of artists are supposed to have recorded "Last Kiss", which was done by J. Frank Wilson & The Cavaliers, for example.)

This is a LimeWire problem ... the incorrect display of the sampling rate as something much lower than the actual rate (most frequently as 64Kb, no matter what the actual rate of the file). This is also something that is not confined to what I have to share, but exists in many songs found by a search from others ... songs reported as 64Kb with thirteen minute durations ... which is highly unlikely. Even an eBook (spoken word, with no need for a high sampling rate) at that low a sampling rate are rare ... and usually closer to an hour in duration. Download one of these, and do a Preview on it, and it is clear that is better quality than what Limewire reports. :(
