no volume
 

Hi All...have been using limewire for several years now, but am a first time forum user. I need help. I just down loaded the newest version y now when I try to down load music...don't have any problem with the download, but when I try to preview there is no volume. I have tried it on many songs y nothing. Can anyone help??Will really appreciate any info.

If you've used LW for a number of years, you'd be aware that a song file needs to be perhaps 10% or greater downloaded before you can preview it. The problem might be with the LW player itself. Have you tried playing the incomplete files with your usual music player to see if they play?

Tried that, but still no volume. Any other advise? would appreciate all info.

My first guess would be that they're junk/fake files. Can you play other files that you d/loaded before you updated LW?
What type of files are you trying to play(mp3's, wma's, ect)? Possibly you need some codecs.
