This might help: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link} :)

The LW playlist you see in iTunes is simply a playlist which can be played but not burnt or copied. It's useful for checking your most recent downloads. Thus, if you wish to copy to iPod, you need to add them to iTunes first. After copying to iTunes, you can create a playlist with them to add to iPod or use manual updating of iPod. You will see them in your most recently added songs playlist also.

Thank you, but my question has nothing to do with my ipod or itunes, i was just saying that my limewire files last as long as my limewire is open once it closes the files are usless....i used to have limewire on my old computer and it never did that i could close, open, close, open and they would still be there ready to play. Now these ones wont play at all once my limewire is closed

Falyn, I'm really sorry if my image about 'wrong forum' offended you - we see so many posts in the wrong forums that we have to move, we go a bit crazy at times... it was just meant as a joke:)

Please don't take it personally.

Add them properly to iTunes & your problem should be solved.

The LW playlist should disappear from iTunes after LW is closed. If it does not, then something is buggy or just slow reacting.

Birdy it's okay...no offence taken...and honestly im usually good at computers and i may come off as airhead like to you right now but im still confused... i just want my files to work even after i have closed and reopened limewire

Once you close LW, have you tried to play files from within your saved folder? And have you tried adding them to other players (eg WMP, WinAmp) & seeing whether they play when LW's closed?
