Search returning two bogus results no matter what I search? Hey, Just installed limewire on a fresh install of XP (limewire was working fine before). And now no matter what I search even "hafljaljfadgmfm99832u3" it comes up with a MP3 and SND with that name saying (High Quality) after the name. It is bringing up no real results and no matter what I search for it always brings up a file with what I searched for with (High Quality) the two above mentioned file types. :( Any help? EDIT: Oh yeah the files are always the exact same size as well. |
Spam is generally quite bad now, there are so many of them out there. There is a chance you are connected directly to a spam ultrapeer. In which case removing one of them might help. But, you will temporarily lose connection doing so & will need to wait several minutes until LW finds another & settles back to a good connection. ie: Go to View menu -> Show/hide Connections. Select one you were connected to longest, then press remove button at bottom of window. Use this only one at a time, else you will lose connection & have problems for quite some time. ;) Might be worth using this also: (a) Problems with the search, __ (b) Hostiles List You could potentially add quality or bitrate into the word filter, however that might also filter out some good search results. So use with care. ;) |
Thanks for your help. All seems to be working again. |
