im am formatting my pc and have got videos that I want to import to another pc so that I can carry on downloading them with limewire.can anyone tell me how to do this please.I have copied the old files into the incomplete folder but they dont show up in my download screen, i have tried to import files and folder but still nothing.can anyone help me please

To move LW to a new computer, move the entire incomplete folder, the preferences folder (specifically the downloads.dat file inside prefs folder.) And of course your saved/& shared folders where your already downloaded files are.

After reinstalling LW on new computer, close it. Then replace the new incomplete folder with the old one, and go to preferences folder & drop the downloads.dat file inside & replace the new one. But that must only be done whilst LW is closed.

i have done all that but replace the downloads.dat into the preference folder cause I dont know where that is

If you are using LW 5 on new computer, to add the already downloaded files to the library, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...s-windows.html although birdy was updating a copy of that thread for LW 5.1 it is not in public view yet. It is possible to drag & drop files/folders from desktop to library. But to share you need to right-click & choose to share.
