![]() I originally tacked this on to a thread in the General Mac forum http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...tml#post342578 because another user reported the same issue starting a few days ago. I was getting nowhere with help in the Mac forum so I'm re-posting the thread... Beginning yesterday, I started receiving A LOT of both "***..." and "W***ns W***d EP..." results with nearly every search. I have not upgraded Limewire for months, if not years - still running 4.12.3 Pro. A user in the Mac forum suggested adding specific IP's, adding filter words, adjusting the search parameters, etc...none of those can be my problem because this issue just started two days ago and I have not changed any of the settings. Nearly ANY search is returning almost identical results (*BS, W**an* **rl* EP, etc...), yet there are FAR fewer expected results than were previously received. In other words, previously if I searched for "P**k F***d" I would get hundreds of "P**k F***d" results. Now when I search for "P**k F***d I get hundreds of C*S and W*m**s Wo**d results, and I'm lucky to get ANY "P**k F***d" I found this same issue reported on a FrostWire forum. Reinstalling Limewire does not fix the issue. And I should clarify...I can set the filters to exclude "C*S" and "***ans Wo***". I'm more curious to know if everyone is seeing this issue? Spammers put in a late night and flooded the network? Thoughts? __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. ![]() Hi, unfortunatly it's a simple case of spamming, dirty rotten kids playing about trying to infect people with all kinds of garbage.. I suggest this. Click your connection tab and click one as 'junk' or 'block' then research, still getting the same one, rinse and repeat, lol.. Check out this to help aswell http://www.gnutellaforums.com/frostw...spam-wave.html |
