Default Duplicate Files--Lost Function in Limewire

The other key thing I've noticed is LW is not as thorough as it used to be with regards to identifying files you already have in your library.

I did two searches. Both searches were unique and both searches also showed a file that was the exact same file on the exact same host. After downloading the file from one search window the file status was not updated in the alternate search window. It should have shown as "downloading" and then green to indicate it was in my library. The status was only updated in the window where the download was initiated.

Before Limewire 5 this worked correctly.

I'm not using the most recent LW 5.2 version yet. But I did use the LW 5.2 beta versions. I am aware LW 5.2 was very slow to recognise files already downloaded. Could take many minutes before it showed in search results, or search results were updated. A small bug in my opinion. I almost reported it.

In the process of watching this behavior more closely and trying to duplicate my results to verify what I have said I now have something new to report:

After downloading a file and carefully watching the status in the search window I am now seeing the file reset to it's original state (as if I don't have it) immediately after the download. It goes from the blue down-arrow back to the original "you-don't-have-it" icon.
