LimeWire keeps closing just after opening...

Hi,

I JUST downloaded LimeWire, installed it okay, opened it without any trouble, and everything functions fine in the program, but it closes for some reason, less than a minute after I open it. EVERY TIME. I've tried opening it dozens of times and it just closes. Can anyone tell me why?

BTW, I have Windows XP, AOL 6.0 (56k Modem). Just in case that's relevant.

This also happens to me... I am also running Windows XP

the same happens with me on WinXP Pro

some versions of LW Basic wont run if the spyware has been removed by a program like Adaware... im not 100% positive, but pretty certain thats whats wrong.

I have the same problem, also on Windows XP.

I ran Ad-ware, it removed some stuff, but it still doesn't work.

How do you re-enable ads or whatever is required to run Limewire ?

Or is there another free version of limewire that works fine on XP ?
