Help (low volume & crackly sound - LW songs & email videos)
 

The only reason I dare come on this forum ( as I know nothing about how my pc works ) is, I think someone here helped me before with the same problem.
If I try to play Limewire,sound has to be turned up fully and the songs are crackily,this has only happened in the last few days,fine before that.
Any e-mails I get with a video on it,are the same,so may be not a Limewire problem ?
Last time,I thought it was the speakers,but know,it is not that.
I am also on Vista. :confused:

Are you using LW's internal player to play songs? It's not a good player & things can sound especially bad if you're trying to play songs & have files uploading/downloading at the same time :) Try disabling LW's player & using another player.

Likewise for your email videos - have you tried using a different player? If so, which players have you tried? VLC is a good free one to try, there's a download link within this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/tips-t...p3-fixers.html

Otherwise, have you checked out your computer's audio settings via Control Panel > Audio Devices?

Hi Birdy,
I tried a few things you said,the I put on Winamp ?
Took speaker cable out the back,put it back in and it worked ok for a while,now its back to square one.
Is there anything I can download, that will sort this out for me :)
