I don't use Win 7, but I guess that if you need to delete LW's preferences folder - use the Vista guidelines.

And if you need to change compatibility, try running in compatibility mode for Vista or XP first

I already ran the compatibility for windows with no luck, but I'll try the link. thanks

Hopefully it's just a matter of updating or reinstalling your Java
