Spam Search
 

Is there any way to keep Limewire from showing you search results that you mark as spam ? I mark files as spam, but they keep showing up when I ask the search to search for more results.

On other hand, sometimes you are connected directly to spammer ultrapeers. Removing the longest connected one can sometimes help.

What do you mean by the longest connected one ? The one with the longest address or the one who I'm connected to the longest ? I've never had this problem with any other version of Limewire before.

Longest, as in time.

There are more spammers on the Gnutella network than ever before. It would probably do you good to read the info in the link provinded by LotR.

In what way did it not make sense ? :) Admittedly it was written during the time of LW 4, however the principles still all apply to LW 5. :)

As for removing Ultrapeers. You can try that maybe once every 15 minutes. Remove the longest connected one, then the next, etc. until search results pick up. ;) Of course you will need to wait for LW to find another ultrapeer and connection settle down before searching for files again. :)
