Drop out when minimizing to tray

Hi & hello to everyone,:),
I'm a new user of this forum & I'm looking for some help.
My system runs XP-home, connected by adsl2 & using Limewire 5.5.9 after a recent upgrade.

Seems everytime I run Limewire it requires a restart from the programs list, especially after the screen saver has activated.
i.e.
Each time I start the program allowing it to run then "minimize to tray".
Allowing the computer to activated the screen saver, I then re-activate the screen & attempt to access it from the icon tray, only to have the icon disappear completely.:bangh:

Requiring a restart from the programs list.
I've tried to see if there is a option I can disable or function I can change but with no luck.:(

Has anyone else suffered this?
If so what can I do?
:sos:

Sorry for the very late reply, somehow your post was missed. :o Did you solve the issue? Have you tried running LW in the tray with screensaver disabled to see if the screensaver is clashing with LW?

Is LW set to run as Administrator?
Have you tried upping LW's running in the program priority list? ie: Control-Alt-Del, Click on Processes & find LW. Right-click on LW & choose a higher priority. ;)
You could also try doing same with screensaver, lowering its priority slightly. :)

I have ended up running LW minimized to task bar only, not as a tray function.
I went through the list of options & also stopped it stopping when no downloads were running.
Seems to function ok but it means I cannot run it in the background, only as an operational program.
Painful, when the older versions didn't have this type of fault.
