WireShare rpm version?

It looks like filecloud.io sold out or switched domains, and the new domain just hangs on file downloads, and 4shared.com doesn't work for me (countdown timer never budges). All of the newer downloads I see that do work for linux are Debian only. Is there a valid place to download LimeWireOther_4.18.8p.zip, or any plans on making an rpm version of WireShare? I tried grabbing a snapshot from Sourceforge, but got the following error when I ran "run":

Error: Could not find or load main class org.limewire.ui.swing.Main

Thanks.

The LW 'Other' versions can be found here on GoogleDrive. In recent months I'd been swapping to GoogleDrive because FileCloud has become very unreliable, losing files a month after uploading/hosting them due to non-backed up 3rd class disk drives (probably found in 2nd hand markets or worse.)

I don't know if FileCloud is being ambushed/hijacked temporarily by a Chinese owned site. I haven't spoken to their support about this yet.

Off-hand I don't know what is required for systems that prefer the RPM/Other version (BigJx might know). It is possible to unpackage the DEB version as an archive. You didn't mention which Linux you are using.

Not an ideal approach, but this is one crude way to run it:

/Desktop/WireShareLinux-v5.6.4.1/usr/lib/WireShare/runWireShare.sh

Edit: From LW's original instructions: If you are using this from the LimeWireOther.zip file, you can launch LimeWire by typing:
sh ./runLime.sh
Just adjust this for WireShare.

If you cannot connect, delete the gnutella.net file from the ~/.WireShare folder whilst WS is closed. Then start WS up again.

I can mention the RPM concept to Big_Jx. But not sure when the next version will be released. The WireShare project could definitely benefit with some help from other persons. Edit: My research suggests LW stopped using RPM before 2006 and instead simply supplied a zip file instead.

FileCloud will become Ezfile by end of year. https://filecloud.io/ezfile.html. I've used their services since 2006 under the original FileHo name.

You might be selecting the wrong option with 4Shared (also need to be registered and logged in with 4Shared to download files.) I confess it's become confusing lately to know which link to click. 4Shared download instructions here, ignore all the other larger download buttons you see.

I'm a Wireshare project admin and I will raise this point with everyone.

Why don't you create a SourceForge account and help out yourself? We're always looking for new project volunteers. Email me at *email address removed* and I will add you to the developers list.

A rpm version of WireShare is now available at SourceForge. Also, the snapshot you downloaded is only the source code. So, if you want to use the run file to launch WireShare then you have to compile the source first using Ant.
