 Might be that your girlfriend used the Add/ Remove feature of the Control Panel to uninstall LW. What I would try is, download the off-line installer of LW basic, uninstall the old JAVA, download the newer JRE off-line installer from here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp Then install first the Java, and afterwards try to install the LW client. Though I'm not sure whether that will solve your problem.....  Just post back and tell us how you got along......
