Go to your Library window. Click on the library tab. If you don't see it, go to View menu, Hide/Show & select Library. In the Library window will be folders. One will be Saved Files folder, one will be the name of the downld folder (called "Shared" by default), & an incomplete folder. There may also be other folders if you chose to share more folders. For fast & easy access, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you.

Else click on the Saved Files folder or Shared folder & click on the song file, & press Launch.

ahh

there isn't any songs in there so obvs. they arent downloading. so whya ren't they downloading?

Lord of the Rings July 25th, 2006 08:56 AM

Try downlding those with 3 or 4 stars as that represents their chances for connecting & downlding. Also try to find those with multiple hosts under the # column of the search results. But ignore all files less than 2,000 KB (2 MB) as most of those are spam or viruses.

jmaczbabii07 July 25th, 2006 08:57 AM

i do do that, and i don't knwo where to view them at.. do i jsut see them downloading in the shared folder?

jmaczbabii07 July 25th, 2006 08:58 AM

i just downloaded a song. well clicked download and i went to shared files and nothing is still not in there.

Lord of the Rings July 25th, 2006 08:59 AM

Look in the Saved Files folder.

Are you sure it downloaded 100%? Did you watch it as it was downlding?

jmaczbabii07 July 25th, 2006 09:01 AM

there's nothing in that folder either.

Lord of the Rings July 25th, 2006 09:05 AM

So in other words (see my question at bottom of last post), it didn't finish downlding. Go to your Library window & click on the incomplete folder. Is it in there? If it is, it means it hasn't downlded yet.

Did you have a look at the Limewire manual?

jmaczbabii07 July 25th, 2006 09:08 AM

like when i click on a song and lcick download it doesn't show it in the downloading thing. and its rather aggrevating. and it shows that the # thing is 14. and you said 10-20 sources. so i don't get how it still isn't working.

jmaczbabii07 July 25th, 2006 09:10 AM

something is in the incomplete folder. but i ahve no clue what it is. there is 2 things in there. but when i double click on it, it doesn't play it or whatever.

what limewire manual?

Lord of the Rings July 25th, 2006 09:14 AM

You obviously didn't see the Sticky at the top of this section. Manual http://www.limewire.com/english/content/userguide.shtml

There are the downloads.dat & downloads.bak files in the incomplete folder. These should never be touched!!!

Check to see if this is your problem & check the options discussed: License requirement (click on link)

If the files aren't even going into your download window, then they must be either fake or else, you need to change the setting for downlding license of files.

foolofthehill July 25th, 2006 09:16 AM

The two files in the Incomplete folder are the bak and dat file of Limewire; don't touch them !! LW needs those files to write down which opart of which file it has already downloaded.
If there are no other files (except those both) then LW hasn't started to download anything.
The best thing for youy would be to start reading the manual, as suggested by LOTR. Go here:
http://www.limewire.com/english/content/userguide.shtml

Depending on your download speed, a music file with some 4-5 MB will need up to 10-15 minutes to complete the download.
