please, help needed..... installer freezes!
 

when i go to download limewire using the windows recomended it takes me to the limewire online installer. the installer says please wait... if there is no progress for several minutes, please restart the installer. it stays frozen everytime i do this. i have done this atleast 20 times and im not getting anywhere.(lol) I also tried the offline installer for windows but after it installs and then opens this green box appears that says limewire 4.12.4. and just freezes. thanks for taking the time to read my problem, all help is appreciated.

Remove your current version of Java & reinstall JRE using the offline installer

Once you've installed Java, install LW using the offline installer

after downloading the java i cant click on the icon. what should i do.

So have you reinstalled Java, reinstalled LW & now when you click on the LW icon nothing happens?

no i cant click on the java icon. but i clicked on the limewire icon and it took me further then usual but now its saying installing java and the it seems to be loading there are dots moving but its been doing this for about an hour.

See if you can find out anything using Java's help pages (they also have a search function)

How fast's your connection? The JRE's a 16 MB file, so if you have a snail speed connection it might take ages to download. :confused:
Somebody else might have more clues about this!

i have got java installed finally now when limewire goes through the installation i click finish. then when i open lime wire this this green square with the limewire symbol is in it and above says 4.12.4. it just freezes on this. Any ideas what i can try. thanks.
