after start up nothing

I installed Limewire. started it up. it loads. then disapears never to return. it feels like it just closed itself. I tried fixing the LW by deleting file .limewire and nothing

Then try steps 1 & 5 here Fixes for Limewire & also reinstall your LW using the "Offline" version which is 2nd on list & is the unprefered option.

If it's a recent version of LW, the preferences folder won't be called .limewire any more. See the link below (point 3) for the new location & how to delete the folder
Fixes for LimeWire

I'd also try point 1 there - reinstalling Java JRE using the offline installer. Remove your old version first.

You could also try changing compatibility (point 5) to Win 2000 or NT
:)

hey can any1 help me?? ive downloaded limewire n downloaded songs which then show on my itunes under 'whats new', but how do i transfer the songs from limewire onto my itune library??

Lord of the Rings September 25th, 2006 02:00 AM

Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. Then select the audio files & drop them onto the Library icon at the top of the playlists of iTunes. That's the easiest way.

For other methods, see How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes)
