I did a search and found several files for the subject and downloaded them.
My computer later crashed and I inadvertently deleted the saved files. Now when I do the same exact search I cannot find any of the files I formerly downloaded. Does this mean that the source has to be online when my search is done in order for me to get the same results? If so, is there a way that one can enter a search and have it remain active whenever limewire is on thereby retrieving the results whenever the source happens to be online? Many thanks for any help! |

If by the first question you mean the files with the downloaded symbol to the left, as far as i know yes the source (if 1 source had the file) or some sources for the same file (if multiple had the file) should be connected. If they weren't connected, there would be no way for that file to appear in results. As for the second question, not quite sure. I can say however that when you do that search and the previously downloaded by you dont show up, do a get more results search later, as they may apear then, just make sure you keep that search tab open, or just redo the search later. Lastly for the first question, if you cant find that same file, download a different file that is what the other one was, in chance it may be better than the previous one. Hope this helps!
