limewire crashs after opening

:bangh:

anybody know what to do - limewire quits right after I open it.
It happened to both versions - the free and Pro version.
I'm running Mac OS 10.3.9, e-mac... And I have used limewire in the past successfully, however, after my whole system froze I needed to reset it. (I wonder sometimes if limewire caused this)

Eversince limewire does not want work.

PLEASE HELP ME:yahoo:

Thank YOU

Bye

Do a safe boot & repair permissions. ie: Reboot whilst holding down the SHIFT key until you see the safe booting message. After it starts totally, go to Utilities folder & open Disk Utility & repair permissions. Then restart normally. Also, delete your LW prefs folder whilst LW is closed, found here /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

now there's another

problem - I can't safe boot, I just get the spinning grey wheel and it won't start up. I need to turn the computer off with the power switch. I did everything else though to solve the limewire issue, but it didn't work, I guess without safe booting it won't work.

Thanks for your help

Safe boot should start, but it takes much longer to start up & on some computers can take considerable time. I don't know about the emac.

Someone else was having problems on an imac with 10.3.9 & solved their problem by going back to LW version 4.9.30. If you're interested, give me a personal message. ie: click on my username & you'll see the option.
