Decoder?

I downloaded ******* but I have not been able to play it, the file is avi and has the litlle Windows media player logo un the side but tells me I need a decoder or a codec any ideas?

We normally recommend VLC player as it has in-built codecs; else find extra codecs here CODECs list and alternate players for Movies
