![]() Hi...I have really tried to search thru all the advice all of you good folks have given, but as I have stated, I am Clueless as to Port's and that other stuff. I am behind a Firewall. I have Norton 2005. My Windows Firewall is off. I cannot figure how to set anything to make that brick wall go away. I don't mean to sound stupid, I really have tried to figure it out. Can someone PLEASE help me with this? I don't know all of the jargon that ya'll use. Thanks. ![]() |

![]() First of all, just double check that your Norton firewall's configured properly. Read through the sticky below, there's a lot of info & advice for firewall problems. Connection problems? Check here first! LW might be detecting a firewall from within your modem/router. The sections in that sticky about enabling UPnP & port forwarding have info about this. If you're stuck, post back here with all your system details. Post #2 of the sticky tells you what info we need. If you can answer those questions, we'll have more idea of how to help you ![]() |

![]() Hi Birdy...Ram and and hard disk available, I am not sure, but I have a new Dell PC which is virtually empty of programs. So...I have alot of space available. Windows XP DSL connection - Sprint Modem 645 Series - connect from house LW version 4.12.6 Java 1.5.0_06 ISP - Earthlink Not sharing connection w/other PC's or P2P programs Have used LW for a while, just have not been able to get rid of the brick wall! Thanks a bunch for your help!!! |

![]() Can't find out whether your modem supports UPnP, so you could try port forwarding. Look for Zyxel in the list of routers, there are a few 645 models to choose from. Choose LW from the list of programs. Don't forget to set up a static IP first (you'll find a link to static IP setup within the port forwarding guide). http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm Let us know if you have any trouble ![]() |
