How do you know what people are seeing when they see the file you are sharing?

I am really new to Limewire- Only just cottoned on to Broadband- Does Limewire pose a threat to security. Someone could get access to your Pc and steal personal information etc- also how do you know what people are seeing when they see the file you are sharing- is it just a user name?

Thanks- sorry for being a dunce!

People can only see what you share. Go to your LW Library window. Those files are being shared. Anything you don't want shared, right click & choose stop sharing folder or file.

The folders that are being shared can be set from LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Sharing

People can't see you, if they browse you they can detect your ip # that's all. And the files you're sharing. You sound ultra-paranoid. So long as you are "careful" about what you share, you have nothing to worry about. ;) :)
