just downloaded basic (good job I not purchase it first)

Well, downloaded basic as I said.
Open it up......NOTHING
Oh it all comes up on my screen...I do a search...ABBA
NOTHING.
Then i read that when you first install, it asks you if you are running firewall.....
WELL my installation wizard DID NOT ASK ME THIS.
I have un-installed and re-downloaded 4 times now, yes I have re-booted after every time....still NOT ASK ME IF I RUN FIREWALL
I am running winxp pro
have 1gb spare
more than enough memory
Also, this is happening
I am also member of SAFESHARE...same as Limewire
Working fine, downloading music files etc, but as soon as i have downloaded LIMEWIRE it stopped working, wont even do a search
Oh one more thing....I just downloaded CA antivrus from Microsft website

And since download LIMEWIRE my pc is so slow
I have un-installed limewire now its NOT on my pc

Ok ... so what do you want then? And how did you uninstall LW?

Did you check the FAQ on the LW site?

Could sound like SafeShare is a clone or rip off of the Limewire code with some things added. And when you installed Limewire both programs got corrupted. Try uninstalling both and then running a registry cleaner like this one:

http://www.ccleaner.com/

After cleaning your registry, reboot your PC and then install only one of them.

Doesn't sound to me like you are looking for help. And if you'd read the forum rules as you must have when you signed up, then you'd know how to post. You're from the UK but speak an odd english. A smart azz answer to me for a start.

I hope you enjoy your stay on the forums. der hrpuffnstuff
