I have been using Limewire V4.8.1 Pro for over a year now (successfully). I have tried a search for this but my question is too general and stupid to be asked before. Is 4.12.6 more than 4.8.1? Evidently so. Would I gain anything by upgrading(?) to the newer version? If I do will I need to shell out more $$$$?. As I said it has been more than 6 months since I paid for the Pro version.

Does the downloadable version of the User Manual apply to the new version or to just version 4.9?

I'm getting a lot of wma files in my searches. Is there a way to filter them out so I just get mp3 files when searching music?

There have been so many changes since 4.8.1!! Have a look at the changelog, you'll be able to see exactly what changes have been made through the versions since then

If you want to update to 4.12.6 Pro, you'll have to pay again. Or, you could try the basic & get to know it first, then upgrade to Pro if you're happy with it. If you love your 4.8.1, make sure you've saved the installer - just in case you want to revert back to it.

To filter out wma files, add .wma to the keyword filter (tools > options > filters > keyword).
