everything good...but can't burn ?
 
just got started on limewire yesterday, ..everything is fine, tracks downloaded to wmp...but when i go to burn them , license law prevents this from happening, this has been the case for the 15 or so tracks i downloaded...have i set up the limewire wrong ... i tried downloading tracks usinjg creative commons also after reading the forums, ...no change ....what am i doing wrong... keep getting the "error occurred " when i try to burn....any help please , i cannot find a suitable answer that works looking thru the forums .....in simple terms please ...thanks

By-pass WMP then!!! WMP loves DRM What you should know about WMA/WMV Files. WMP & M$ are out to make money$!!!. Use your normal disk burner instead of WMP. Else get a free one. Birdy or Wondering Why will suggest what to get to use for video burning. ;)
Oh I just realised you meant audio burning. For files that have been purchased online then there may be a licencing issue. Are you sure you can play the songs before you're attempting to burn them?

yes i can play the songs on limewire once downloaded, and they play in wmp...just wont burn " error occurred" some license reason ...i have not as far as i know purchased them from limewire, as there free downloads right ?...

thanks for the previous reply to my initial query........being a beginner to this stuff....i posted earlier as was having issues with burning, got everything to windows player i had downloaded no problem ...but could not burn...the "error ocurred" message came up , refer to license details...i clicked properties on the individual track...some would state something like this : this file can be played untill 1/19/02, ...collaborative play not allowed,...file cannot be burned,....or syncronized,...license cannot be backed up .....only 5 of the tracks i downloaded were sucessfully burned out of 15, the burned ones had no info on the license tab, just blank ....the others had the above or similar statements on license tab.....so i cannot download these files to be burned right ?...how do i know what files i am downloading, as i spent a long time getting the 15 tracks only to be dissapointed in not being able to burn them ...is there somewere i can look when selecting tracks to be loaded, so as to avoid this next time .... thankyou in advance anyone !.
