The version you have LW 2.x is over 4 years old. You should get the new version. Uninstall that version. Then get the new version - http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml But you must uninstall the other version 1st.

Also update your Java Java 1.5 (take the JRE) "Offline" version which is about a 15 MB download, quote:
