Less than 72 hours and CLEARLY addicted to Lime Wire!

Hey all! I love this Lime Wire stuff! At least I think I do. I have some questions. But just so you know- I have downloaded over 3,000 songs in three days, made it into work but am going on less than two hours of sleep at night (I'm obsessed with watching the download screen and trying to tweak it! When the alarm clock goes off I incorporate it into my dreams- BEEP! "Need more Sources, " BEEP! "Completed download".....etc.).
However, I have NOT- and this may be surprising, yet listened to a single song. Here's why:
1. I have ran Mcaffe virus protection multiple times- I am coming up clear with each scan, have done my best to only download audio files but I'm worried. Will the REAL problems start once I start running the files? (Listening to the music?)
2. What is the best software to manage all this- especially renaming, organizing. I grabbed a free version of Monkey- but don't know if that's the way to go for a huge audio collection?
3. What does it mean if you can't browse a host that is uploading from you? Does that mean that person is a total freeloader? I am allowing up to twenty uploads from my machine and yet the majority of people uploading from me seem to be freeloaders- YES, I changed my settings in options to rarely let them in.
4. At work- I run MS explorer and can see all file extensions. I never noticed it, but here at home on my home computer I can not. Just file names. I am curious about .mva files- getting rid of them and would like to know what file extensions each song has. Any clues on how I can make all the file extensions visible?
THANK YOU!!!! :giggle:

1. It's a good idea to scan any file that you've downloaded with your AV before you open it.

2. I use iTunes (free) for organising my music. Other people will use different things...try a few until you find one that you like.

3. Browse host is really unreliable. You might be unable to browse someone, then try 5 minutes later & be able to browse that same host. There's really no way to tell whether someone's a freeloader (the limit within options doesn't really work too well, if at all!)

4. If you right click on the cloumn headers & make sure that 'Type' is ticked, you should see the file extensions.

If you're new to LW, you should probably read a few of the stickies around the forum...just for some info & tips. Here are a few to start with;)

Thank you

It is so nice to know I am not alone out here my latest dilemma is "freeze ups" after cancelling dead leads.
Yes- from staring at the computer screen for three days straight I was beginning to think some of the opps were NOT reliable- but heck it's share ware they have to force the data transfer however they can- right?
I don't mean to sound down on Lime wire. Thanks for your input!
