No search results

The last time I used LimeWire, a couple of months ago, everything worked normally.

Today, I tried to find some music, and no search results appear. I down loaded and installed the latest free version, still no results. I tried searching on "Beatles," figuring that would give the most results, but nothing, nada, zippo.

The content filter is not enabled. The signal is full. I'm using OSX 10.4.7.

The firewall button says Limewire has detected a firewall. Don't know about that. This is my home computer and I don't have any security software installed except Little Snitch.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Are you using a router? If not, check with your ISP's help desk if they are allowing connections to the gnuella network.

btw--10.4.9 is out.

Thanks for your reply.

I have the Airport Express router.

I still have the same ISP as before, when LimeWire was working normally. Earthlink through Time Warner cable broadband.

Did you folks figure out how to get the router to allow LimeWire connections?

If so, please post to help others.

Thanks

no luck yet

I don't think it is the Airport Express router because LimeWire was working fine last time I used it, and I haven't changed anything that I know of.

I did not have any trouble using LimeWire when I first set it up on this system, iMac G5 with Airport Express with Earthlink Time Warner broadband.

I think my problem could have something to do with Little Snitch. ?????

I don't have any other virus or spyware stuff on this machine, so I don't know what else it could be.

Easiest way to check then is to set up a new admin user account in the System Preferences->Accounts, install LW there, and try that (easy to delete the account afterwards).

IF LW works, then at least you'll know the problem is somewhere in the settings of the original user account
