This is the first problem I've EVER had. I've only got one little green connection block. No firewall. Disconnected my Norton Antivirus to see if that's the problem. I did all the other measure Limewire help desk recommended.......and no successful results. Any ideas folks? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks |
Did you make any changes on your pc before this problem started? |
DarthPat, Thanks for replying. Nothing was changed, added, removed....nada. Can you find a model version for that Linksys device ? Could be the issue. ;) Besides that, try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 (try both) in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) |
Linksys model number: BEFSR41 version 3 I've also deleted .limewire, and still nothing..... :( |
Hello everyone! I am a newbie to this forum and not all that experienced in computers. I also am having the exact same problem as nvmyci. I turned my computer on and tried to download. It would not connect since. This happened about 5 days ago and will not respond to anything I've tried. |
nvmycj...You might want to update your version of Limewire maybe it can't handle running with Java 6....Or visa versa you could try going back to Java 5.11.... Install the offline JRE (5th one down) Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 coolmama1...Could you also supply your details please... System details - help us to help you (click on link) |
I would run a registry cleaner prog after uninstall LW also |
