Problems downloading on a Mac

I have an iMac at home and Limewire works on it fine. I have a MacBook but I'm unable to download anything. Settings seem to be the same on both machines. (iMac runs off a broadband cable service. MacBook is using a 3G broadband wireless modem). Any suggestions?
